We Day!

Students from our Youth and Education department had the fantastic opportunity to attend this year's We Day. An initiative of Free the Children, the event brings together a generation of youth to be engaged in changing the world through an inspirational event and yearlong educational program. Thanks to one of our newest board members, the Tropicana group was hosted by RBC. Here are a few snaps of their day.

Hooray for the United Way!

Yesterday a few of us headed downtown for the launch of  the United Way of Greater Toronto's campaign. Tropicana's ED and Director of Trusteed & Special Projects took part in the festivities on stage. Check them out holding the dollar sign and the "1"!

As you may have guessed from the photos, this year United Way's fundraising target is $116,000,0000. As a United Way member agency, Tropicana has first hand experience of the many ways in which the United Way supports community development. Without their support, we would not be able to run many of our programs.

Next month, a team of Tropicana supporters will be climbing the CN Tower in support of the United Way. Want to join us? Email Tka at tpinnock@tropicanacommunity.org

Last night 24 lucky Tropicana youth took in the Blue Jays- Rays game from the Jays Care Community Clubhouse. While the end result of the game wasn't what we were hoping for, a great time was had by all thanks to the hospitality of the Jays Care Foundation.
